Percentage is an important chapter of Arithmetic section. Percentage is the base of other arithmetic chapters. DEFINITION OF PERCENTAGE: – The Percentage is a relative value that indicates the hundredth parts of any quantity. Which means something is how much out of 100 of that thing.
Percentage is denoted by the symbol ‘%’ which means 1/100.
So, whenever we say 10%, means 10 out of 100 or we can say 10/100.
PERCENTAGE TO FRACTION & FRACTION TO PERCENTAGE CONVERSION:-
To convert any percentage to its fraction value we will replace the ‘%’ sign and multiply the given numerical value by 1/100 and after reducing the faction to its lowest form.
Conversely, to convert any fraction to percentage we will multiply the fraction by 100% to get the percentage value.
